Sim Icon On Status Bar
It is not possible to remove the empty sim icon from the status bar simply because its job is to indicate whether the sim is inserted or no which it is indicating. If you set the preferred sim card as sim card 1 the sim card icon with number 1 will be shown in galaxy s9 status bar.

Hello people since ive upgraded to nougat im not able to remove the second sim icon from the status bar. In the status bar in addition to the time in the rightmost you can find icons grouped in the left and right side of the status bar. I have a second sim in the slot but i only use it once a week or once in 2 weeks.
